Personal Trainer Profile – Stephen Thorkildson
I graduated Gustavus Adulphus College in 2009 with a degree in health fitness and exercise science. I first developed a “knack” for training during senior year. I was able to take the book knowledge acquired and apply it hands-on with various staff members and college athletes. After college, I continued training with an internship at Acceleration Minnesota. During those three months I learned more training skills while working with a variety of athletes of all ages. In my second year of personal training at Fitness 19 I find myself constantly evolving my training methods through stability ball training, core-balance work and a healthy dose of cardio. I have been able to develop a holistic approach to training. Every client has a different story, its up tp us as trainers to help them write a happy ending.

Personal Trainer Profile – Tyler Purcell, CTP
I’m Tyler Purcell and I am a Fitness 19 Personal Trainer certified through both the American Aerobic Association International (AAAI) and the International Sports Medicine Association (ISMA).
I always make my workouts fun and am a huge advocate for circuit training, group training and functional movement workouts. When I’m not training my clients I love being outdoors, biking, kayaking, playing sports and cooking.
Before I began training others I worked with a personal trainer myself. I was never in very great shape growing up and I saw the effect it had in sports, my appearance, and most importantly, my health. It was only after I was taught how to properly train my body that I started to see the results I wanted. Working with personal trainers throughout college helped me become a better person today and I want to help others be just as successful. There is no better feeling than knowing that you helped improve someone’s life and that is what I love about being a personal trainer.
Please stop in and see me! I would love to get to know you.
